Bangladesh midfielder Hamza Choudhury is set to leave Leicester City permanently and join Sheffield United, bringing an end to a remarkable 21-year association with the club where he developed from a young academy player into a senior professional.
The 28-year-old midfielder is returning to Bramall Lane after previously spending the 2024–25 season on loan at Sheffield United. During that spell, Choudhury made 16 appearances for the Blades, gaining further experience in English football before now making the move on a permanent basis.

Born in Loughborough, England, Choudhury has a Bangladeshi mother. He previously represented England at Under-21 level before choosing to play international football for Bangladesh.
His Bangladesh debut came in March 2025 against India, when he started his international career in a goalless draw. Since then, he has made 10 appearances for Bangladesh and scored four goals.
