Popular Bangladeshi singer and composer Imran Mahmudul has marked a significant milestone, completing 18 years in the music industry. His professional journey officially began on 1 September 2008, when he secured the first runner-up trophy in the television talent hunt competition Channel i Sherakontho.
Marking the 18th anniversary of that turning point, Imran shared a reflective message on social media to express gratitude to his audience. Looking back at his career, the artist noted that what started as a modest childhood dream had evolved into an extensive eighteen-year journey. Over nearly two decades, his career has encompassed hit releases, stadium performances, and widespread public acclaim. He described the unwavering support of his listeners as the most meaningful achievement of his artistic life.
Reflecting on his body of work, Imran acknowledged that whilst he could not measure the precise impact of his catalogue, every melody and stage performance was delivered with genuine passion. He extended sincere thanks to everyone who listened to his music, shared his tracks, supported his career, or offered constructive criticism along the way.
Rather than viewing the milestone as a culmination, the vocalist framed the 18-year mark as the beginning of a new chapter in his musical career. He reaffirmed his commitment to recording and performing as long as he is able, relying on the continued support of his audience to shape his future work.
Imran is currently on a concert tour across the United States, performing live shows for Bangladeshi diaspora communities in major cities. His North American tour is scheduled to run through the first week of October, after which he is expected to return to Bangladesh to work on upcoming studio projects.
