Police officers discovered the decomposed body of the 35-year-old artist on Thursday, 3 September, at his home in Sudhar Patti Dhaliwal village under the Sudhar police jurisdiction. The incident came to light after neighbours noticed a foul odour emanating from the locked house for several consecutive days. As the smell intensified, concerned residents alerted the local police station. Officers arrived shortly afterwards, broke open the door with the assistance of locals, and found the singer’s body lying on a bed inside.

Preliminary assessments by investigating officers suggest that the death occurred four to five days prior to the recovery of the body, accounting for the advanced state of decomposition.

Crucially, crime scene investigators spotted dried bloodstains near the corpse. Police noted that the origin of the blood and its direct link to the cause of death remain unconfirmed, though forensic teams have gathered samples from the site for laboratory analysis.

Investigating teams are examining closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage installed across the neighbourhood to trace recent movements around the property. Officers are reviewing the footage to identify whether any visitors entered the premises or if suspicious individuals were spotted near the residence over the preceding week.

Providing additional context, the singer’s sister revealed that Baljit Singh had previously suffered a cardiac arrest. She speculated that he might have experienced another sudden heart attack while alone at home, causing him to collapse, sustain physical trauma upon impact, and bleed excessively.

Law enforcement authorities cautioned that family assumptions remain unverified pending formal medical findings. Police confirmed that the body has been sent to a local civil hospital for a post-mortem examination, which will determine the exact cause and timing of death as the broader police enquiry continues.
