The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Jahed Ahmed, 24, from Hasanpur village in Moulvibazar Sadar; Raju Ahmed, 22, from Kharpara village in Rajnagar; and Jubel Miah, 30, from Bahadurpur village in the same sub-district. A fourth named suspect, 30-year-old Kabir from the Rajnagar Hospital area, managed to evade police during the operation and is currently being pursued by law enforcement.

According to the official case statement, the victim was lured away from her home on the afternoon of 12 September after being manipulated over the telephone by Jahed Ahmed, who had established a relationship with her. She was transported via auto-rickshaw from Chandnighat in Moulvibazar town to Jubel Miah’s house in Bahadurpur. At the residence, the suspects threatened the victim and subjected her to repeated sexual assault throughout the night.

The ordeal continued between 13 and 17 September, during which the girl was held captive at Jahed’s residence and subjected to further physical violence. As her health deteriorated significantly due to continuous abuse, the perpetrators abandoned her along a deserted stretch of road in Rahimpur Union, Kamalganj, on the morning of 17 September. Local residents discovered the victim and assisted her family in securing immediate medical attention.

Following a formal complaint filed by the victim’s father naming four individuals, police initiated a series of raids across the district. Officer-in-Charge of Kamalganj Police Station, Kamar Uddin, confirmed that the three detained suspects have been presented before the court. Police operations are ongoing to locate and apprehend the remaining suspect, Kabir, while medical officers monitor the young girl’s recovery.
