Pragati Life Opens Call Centre to Strengthen Policyholder Support

Pragati Life Insurance PLC has introduced a new call centre to make it easier for policyholders to obtain information, seek assistance and communicate concerns about their insurance policies.

The new facility was inaugurated on Sunday at the company’s head office by Mohammad Jalalul Azim, managing director and chief executive officer of Pragati Life Insurance. Chandrasekhar Das, additional managing director and chief financial officer, and other senior officials of the company were present at the event.

According to a company press release, the call centre will provide policyholders with a direct channel to seek information and support concerning their insurance policies. Customers will be able to ask questions, obtain necessary policy-related services and report difficulties or complaints.

Speaking at the inauguration, Jalalul Azim said the new call centre would make communication between the company and its policyholders easier. It would also help the insurer respond more quickly and effectively to customers’ questions and service requirements.

He said an insurer’s responsibility does not end with issuing an insurance policy. Supporting customers throughout the policy term and providing timely assistance when they need it are also important responsibilities.

The call centre will operate from 10am to 5pm. It will remain closed on Fridays, Saturdays and government holidays. Policyholders can contact the service on +8809610910075 during the stated operating hours.

For insurance customers, access to timely and clear information can be particularly useful because policies often remain active over an extended period. Customers may need clarification about their policies or require assistance when seeking services. A dedicated telephone channel gives them an additional way to communicate with the insurer without having to rely solely on direct visits to an office.

The launch also reflects Pragati Life’s stated focus on expanding technology-based services and improving communication with policyholders. The company said it would continue working to develop more accessible communication facilities as part of its efforts to improve policy management and customer service.

A structured customer-support channel can also provide insurers with a clearer route for receiving questions and complaints. For policyholders, it can offer a more direct means of raising service-related concerns and seeking information from the company.

Pragati Life said its customer-service initiatives would continue beyond the introduction of the call centre. The company plans to expand technology-driven services and improve policy management facilities in the future, with greater accessibility for policyholders remaining a key part of that effort.

With the new facility now in operation, Pragati Life policyholders have an additional point of contact for policy-related information, services and complaints during the designated working hours.
