The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has confirmed that no new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the country during the 24-hour period from 8:00 am Tuesday to 8:00 am Wednesday.

In its official statement, the DGHS clarified that the 0% positivity rate reflects the continued control of infection levels in the population.
There were no new deaths reported during the period under review, keeping the cumulative death toll since the beginning of the pandemic at 29,527.
Bangladesh first recorded a confirmed case of COVID-19 on 8 March 2020, followed by its first fatality ten days later on 18 March 2020.
While daily testing numbers remain modest, the absence of positive cases for the day is considered a positive indicator in the ongoing post-pandemic recovery phase. Health authorities continue to monitor the situation vigilantly to detect any possible resurgence or variant threats
