Advisory Council Approves Draft Ordinance on City Corporation Reform

The Advisory Council has granted policy-level and final approval to the draft of the “Local Government (City Corporation) (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2025.”

The decision was made during the 36th meeting of the Advisory Council, held on Thursday, 31 July, under the chairmanship of Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus.

According to a press release from the Cabinet Division, shared by Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, the ordinance was approved following vetting by the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division.
