Mika Singh to Headline Cultural Showcase in Assam

Bollywood singer Mika Singh is set to headline Tribo Fest 2026, a major cultural and entertainment event taking place in Diphu, Assam, on Sunday, 4 October. The festival is bringing together popular Hindi music, regional performers and elements of Northeast India’s diverse cultural traditions.

The event is being staged at KPH Taralangso in Karbi Anglong, where organisers have planned around eight hours of live entertainment. The main programme is scheduled to begin at 3pm, while gates will open to attendees from 1pm. The event is open only to those aged 18 and above.

Alongside Mika Singh, the line-up includes Assamese singer Zublee Baruah, regional performer Binong Timung and Bollywood live performer Naveen Rajput. Their participation gives the festival a broad musical range, with performances planned in Hindi, Assamese and Karbi.

Mika Singh is expected to be the principal attraction. Known for his energetic live shows and popular Hindi film songs, he has built a strong presence on the Indian live-music circuit. His appearance at Tribo Fest adds a prominent Bollywood name to an event that also places considerable emphasis on regional artists and cultural expression.

The festival’s programme is designed to bring mainstream Indian entertainment together with music rooted in Assam and the wider Northeast. Rather than relying solely on a Bollywood headliner, the organisers have included artists representing different parts of the region, creating a programme that reflects the area’s linguistic and cultural variety.

Karbi Anglong provides the setting for the event, adding a distinct regional character to the festival. The district is home to a diverse population and a range of cultural traditions, while Diphu is an important centre within the region. Holding a large live-music event there gives local and regional performers a platform alongside artists associated with the broader Indian entertainment industry.

Organisers have described Tribo Fest as more than a conventional concert, with the event intended to showcase the cultural identity and diversity of Northeast India to a wider audience. The combination of Hindi, Assamese and Karbi performances is central to that approach, allowing different musical traditions to share the same stage.

Ticket prices for the festival start at ₹1,000, according to BookMyShow. The platform lists Mika Singh, Naveen Rajput, Zublee Baruah and Binong Timung among the featured artists.

With a programme spanning Bollywood music and regional performances, Tribo Fest 2026 is expected to offer audiences in Diphu a varied live-entertainment experience. The event also highlights the growing role of regional venues and performers in India’s wider contemporary cultural landscape, while bringing attention to the musical and cultural character of Karbi Anglong and the Northeast.
