Facebook Resignation Statements
| Leader | Excerpt from Facebook Post |
| Tarikul Islam | “For personal reasons, I am stepping down from all responsibilities and activities of the NCP. Grateful to everyone who supported me.” |
| Palash Khan | “I am resigning from my position as a member of the NCP Shariatpur District Coordination Committee. It’s an emotional decision, but the time has come to take a clear stance on certain matters.” |
Follow-Up Comments from the Resignees
Tarikul Islam elaborated:
“Being involved with various social organisations requires my attention. My decision to leave the NCP is entirely personal. While I haven’t submitted a written resignation yet, I intend to do so.”
Palash Khan added:
“The NCP was more than a political platform to me—it held emotional value. But there was no consultation during the formation of the district committee. Decisions were made by a few individuals, disrupting democratic practices. That’s the primary reason for my resignation. Whether I stay in the party in future will depend on discussions with central leadership.”
Response from Committee Leadership
Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Chief Coordinator of the Shariatpur District Committee, stated:
“I’ve seen their resignation announcements on Facebook, but nothing has been officially submitted yet. We’ve not received any formal explanation for their resignations either.”
These resignations hint at growing internal dissatisfaction within the local NCP structure, especially concerning transparency and democratic participation in the decision-making process.
