Following formal verification and requests from their respective families, senior police officials granted their release into parental custody upon receiving written undertakings (muchleka).
Rangamati district, situated in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, frequently witnesses specialized security measures to curb regional bootlegging, lawlessness, and cross-border or localized contraband smuggling. Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jasim Uddin confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated against all adult detainees, and they have subsequently been forwarded to the local court in accordance with judicial protocol. Law enforcement authorities emphasised that routine and intelligence-led operations will continue to maintain public order across the municipality.
