China Expresses ‘Serious Concern’ Over Israel’s Plan to Control Gaza

On Friday, China voiced grave concern regarding Israel’s intentions to take control of Gaza City, calling upon the Israeli authorities to “immediately cease its dangerous actions.”

In a strongly-worded statement delivered to Agence France-Presse (AFP), a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry reaffirmed the country’s position on the matter:

“Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and is an inseparable part of Palestinian territory.”

China has consistently supported the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with pre-1967 borders.

The latest remarks come amidst escalating tensions and intensified Israeli military operations in Gaza, which have drawn international criticism and raised concerns over civilian casualties and regional instability.
