Full Panel of Left Alliance Announced for DUCSU Elections under Emi-Meghmallar, Named ‘Protirodh Parishad’

The Left Alliance has announced its full panel for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections, naming it ‘Protirodh Parishad’ (Resistance Council).

The announcement was made on Tuesday, 19 August, at a press conference held at the Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University. Jabir Ahmed Jubel, General Secretary of the Dhaka University branch of Biplabi Chhatra Maitri, revealed the panel’s name. He will also contest for the post of Assistant General Secretary (AGS).

 

The previous day, the Left Alliance submitted nomination papers at the office of the Chief Returning Officer, releasing a partial list of candidates. The prominent candidates included:

  • Vice President (VP): Sheikh Tasneem Afroze Emi, former VP of Shamsun Nahar Hall Student Council (2019)
  • General Secretary (GS): Meghmallar Bosu, President of a faction of Chhatra Union,Dhaka University branch
