Israel Confirms Operations in ‘All Combat Zones’ Following Reports of Raid near Damascus

Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed on Thursday that Israeli forces are operating in “all combat zones”, following reports by Syrian state media of a raid conducted by Israeli ground troops on a location outside Damascus that had previously been targeted in airstrikes.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Katz said: “Our forces are operating in all combat zones day and night for the security of Israel.”

He did not provide further details regarding the locations or the objectives of the operations.

When contacted by AFP, the Israeli military declined to comment on the reports.
