BNP Leader Sobhan Demands Nobel Prize for Khaleda Zia

Engineer Abdus Sobhan, a member of the BNP’s Central Executive Committee, has called for Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to be awarded the Nobel Prize for her unwavering struggle to protect democracy in Bangladesh.

Sobhan emphasised that:

  • Despite enduring arrest, torture, and severe persecution, Begum Khaleda Zia never fled the country.
  • Her steadfast commitment to safeguarding the nation’s democracy warrants recognition at the highest international level.
  • He urged the interim government to nominate her for the Nobel Prize in recognition of her sacrifices.
