The condition of Nurul Haque Nur, President of the Gana Adhikar Parishad and former Vice President of DUCSU, remains critical following injuries sustained in a recent attack in Kakrail, Dhaka. However, allegations have surfaced that there is a conspiracy to portray him as fully recovered, according to the organisation’s General Secretary, Rashed Khan.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, 4 September, at 12:00 pm at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH), Rashed Khan said: “Nurul Haque Nur has not yet fully recovered. The issues and complications that led to his hospitalisation remain. His condition continues to be worrying.”
He further emphasised that attempts to misrepresent Nur’s health status are ongoing, warning that the public must be aware of the true seriousness of his condition.
At noon, Rashed posted a video clip on his Facebook account, captioned: “Today, when I visited VP Nur, I saw, blood clotted at his nose like this right in front of me!”
The 13-second clip shows Nur in a weak and despondent state, holding a towel with a visible clotted bloodstain.
