The results of 18 halls across 8 polling centres in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election have been announced. According to the declared counts, Md Abu Sadiq (Sadiq Kayem), the Vice-President (VP) candidate from the United Students’ Alliance, secured 14,042 votes in total, placing him firmly ahead.
Alongside him, SM Forhad for General Secretary (GS) and Mohiuddin Khan for Assistant General Secretary (AGS) are also on course for victory, with only the formal announcement remaining.
One of the most discussed independent candidates, Umama Fatema, faced defeat at Rokeya Hall, where Sadiq Kayem emerged as the top vote-getter.
At this hall, the results for the VP post were as follows:

Umama Fatema, despite receiving a notable 3,389 votes overall, could not surpass the dominance of Sadiq across the university.
