Police Sub-Inspector Killed in Collision Between Battery-Operated Mishuk and Motorcycle in Sirajganj

A tragic road accident in Sirajganj town claimed the life of Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Parimal Chandra Ghosh (57), following a head-on collision between a battery-operated mishuk and a motorcycle.

The incident occurred on Thursday, 11 September, in the afternoon, near the Bus Terminal Mosque along the regional road adjacent to the district police lines.

According to reports:

  • SI Parimal was travelling by motorcycle from the police lines to the Superintendent of Police’s office.
  • A battery-operated mishuk, coming from the opposite direction, collided head-on with his motorcycle.
  • The impact left him with a severe head injury.

He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition and later transferred to Shaheed M. Monsur Ali Medical Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

 

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station, Mokhlesur Rahman, confirmed the incident.

  • The body was handed over to family members in the evening after a post-mortem examination.
  • The mishuk driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
  • Police have stated that legal proceedings are being prepared, and a case is expected to be filed soon.
