US President Donald Trump has announced a deal involving a “certain company” as discussions continue with China over the future of social media giant TikTok.
On Monday, Trump took to Truth Social to share the news, stating: “A deal was also reached on a ‘certain’ company that young people in our country very much wanted to save.”
The announcement followed his positive remarks regarding a trade meeting involving the United States, the European Union, and China, which he described as having gone “VERY WELL.”
President Trump also revealed that he plans to speak with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Friday, signalling ongoing diplomatic engagement as the two nations work towards resolving the TikTok dispute.
