Deepika Padukone Excluded from Kalki 2898 Sequel

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is currently facing a challenging phase in her career, as she will not be appearing in the upcoming sequel of the film Kalki 2898. The announcement was made by the movie’s production team on social media, stating that after lengthy discussions, they decided not to work with Deepika for this project.

Speculation had been rife about whether Deepika would return for the sequel directed by Nag Ashwin, and fans were eagerly awaiting confirmation of her involvement. The production team has now officially clarified the matter.

In a statement, the producers said: “We collaborated with her in the first film. However, the time and commitment required for the sequel could not be arranged. Therefore, working together at this time is not possible. We wish Deepika all the best.”

Deepika gave birth to her daughter last September. Recently, she spent time with her family to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday. Due to prioritising her personal life, she had previously stepped back from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s project Bhaangar.

Despite this setback, Deepika is preparing for a new venture under director Atlee, in which she will star alongside Allu Arjun. This marks her continued focus on balancing her personal life with her professional commitments, while exploring exciting new roles in Indian cinema.
