Former Upazila Chairman Ohiduzzaman at BNP Stage, Sparks Political Discussion in Faridpur

Md. Ohiduzzaman, former Chairman of Saltha Upazila Parishad in Faridpur, has once again become a subject of political debate. Once known for joining the Awami League by presenting flowers to former MP and Deputy Leader of Parliament, Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, he has now been seen sharing the stage with BNP leader Shama Obaid Islam.

On Monday, 15 September, during a meeting organised by the Upazila Jatiyatabadi Olama Dal at the Salta Bazar bypass intersection, Ohiduzzaman sat beside Shama Obaid and delivered a speech. Shama Obaid, the Organising Secretary of the BNP Central Committee, was the chief guest of the event.

While addressing the gathering, Ohiduzzaman stated: “During the previous government’s tenure, many Islamic scholars were persecuted and even imprisoned. At that time, Shama Apa stood by their side. I want her to achieve victory in the upcoming election with the highest margin in the country.”
