US President Donald Trump on Friday sharply criticised media coverage of himself and his administration, claiming it is unduly negative and “illegal”, amid growing national debate over free speech following the suspension of comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s television show by ABC.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump stated: “They’ll take a great story and they’ll make it bad. See, I think it’s really illegal, personally.”
