Actor Don Reveals He Dubbed Salman Shah’s Voice After the Superstar’s Death

Actor Don was able to imitate Salman Shah’s voice. After Salman Shah’s death, actor Ashraful Haque Don provided dubbing for some of his films. These films include Anondo Oshru and Sotyer Mrityu Nei.

Recently, Don spoke about this for the first time on a program of the private satellite channel Boishakhi TV.

Regarding why he lent his voice for Salman, Don said, “Friendship is something that, as you mix and spend time together, a connection develops with the soul. In this way, many things of one person transfer to another. Similarly, many aspects of Salman came into me. I could imitate his voice when speaking because of my familiarity with him.”

Talking about the dubbing process, Don said, “Shibli Bhai brought many people for dubbing in the film Anondo Oshru, but none were satisfactory—either the voice sounded too deep or too thin, or it didn’t fit. After trying for three or four days, he rejected them. Then the assistant director suggested to Shibli Bhai that he try me, as my voice had a lot in common with Salman’s.”

Don added that he did the dubbing at the director’s request, “Later, at Shibli Bhai’s request, I did the dubbing, even though I didn’t initially want to. Then I thought, ‘Let’s do it.’ I did the entire dubbing for Anondo Oshru. I told Shibli Bhai not to publicize that I was the one who provided the voice. This is the first time people have come to know.”
