Police have recovered the beheaded body of an unidentified youth (15–20) in Uttara, the capital.
On Monday afternoon, the body was recovered from a thatch field on an empty plot on Road No. 7 of Sector 17 in Uttara.
The matter was confirmed by Mohammad Monirul Islam, the Officer-in-Charge of Turag Police Station.
He said that unidentified miscreants killed the youth and left the body at that location. Acting on information, police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College for post-mortem after completing legal procedures. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased.
