BRAC Bank has inaugurated its relocated and expanded Motijheel Branch in Dhaka’s principal commercial district, marking a strategic enhancement of its distribution network in one of the country’s most commercially active zones. The move is designed to reinforce the bank’s physical presence in a high-value business corridor and to provide more sophisticated, customer-centric services to corporate and premium clientele.

The branch has been relocated to the second floor of Rupayan Red Crescent Tower, 86–87 Motijheel Commercial Area, Dhaka. The formal inauguration took place on 9 February 2026 in the presence of senior executives. On behalf of Selim R. F. Hussain, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, the branch was inaugurated by Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Also in attendance were Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Distribution Network; Taher Hasan Al Mamun, Senior Zonal Head (South); A. K. M. Tareq, Senior Zonal Head (North); along with other senior officials.

According to the bank, the new premises have been purpose-built to facilitate secure, seamless and technology-enabled banking. The internal layout prioritises operational efficiency, customer privacy and streamlined service delivery. Dedicated relationship management desks have been established for corporate and high-net-worth clients, offering personalised financial advisory, structured financing solutions and investment services.

The branch also features a premium banking lounge, secure locker facilities and upgraded transaction counters aimed at reducing waiting times. Enhanced digital banking infrastructure will enable faster transaction processing and integrated multi-channel service delivery. Operating under a hybrid service model, the branch is aligned with the bank’s online and app-based platforms, ensuring that customers can transition smoothly between physical and digital touchpoints.

Motijheel remains the epicentre of Bangladesh’s financial and corporate activity, housing the headquarters of numerous banks, insurance companies, regulatory bodies and multinational corporations. Establishing a larger, modernised branch in this district is expected to strengthen BRAC Bank’s competitive positioning and deepen engagement with key commercial clients.

As part of its nationwide footprint, BRAC Bank currently operates 310 branches and sub-branches across Bangladesh. Alongside expanding its physical network, the bank continues to invest in digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational resilience.
