As part of their preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup, the Bangladesh national cricket team began a special fitness camp on 6 August, which has now concluded. After a one-day break, the Tigers resumed training on Friday afternoon, engaging in intensive skill-based practice sessions in Dhaka over the past several days.
Although the squad was initially scheduled to continue training today (Monday), the session has been cancelled. This decision coincides with the return of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul from Australia. Tomorrow, Tuesday morning at 10:00 am, the BCB chief is set to hold a formal meeting with the national players at a five-star hotel in the capital.

Following the meeting, the national team is scheduled to travel to Sylhet on an evening flight.
The Tigers are expected to resume their training camp at Lakkatura, Sylhet, from 20 August, with a focus on both the Netherlands series and the Asia Cup. Preparations have already been ramped up, as last Friday marked the beginning of the full practice sessions under the guidance of the coaching staff. On that day, for the first time, the players worked with Julian Wood, the newly appointed Power Hitting Coach, gaining specialised training aimed at improving their aggressive batting techniques.
This structured build-up reflects the seriousness of Bangladesh’s campaign as they head into back-to-back international commitments.
