Titas Gas Authority has announced a temporary reduction in gas pressure affecting consumers across its network, starting today, Friday, and continuing through the weekend. The authority cited maintenance work at the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal and delays in cargo shipments as the primary reasons behind the limited supply.
In an official statement issued on Friday, 26 December, Titas Gas Authority informed that gas pressure will remain below normal levels from 6:00 am on Friday until midnight on Sunday, 28 December. The reduced pressure will affect all categories of consumers within the Titas Gas jurisdiction, including residential, commercial, and industrial users.
The authority expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience, assuring customers that every effort is being made to restore normal supply as quickly as possible. Officials stressed that the maintenance at the LNG terminal is essential to ensure long-term reliability and safety of gas delivery throughout the region.
For better clarity, the schedule of reduced gas pressure is summarised in the table below:
| Date | Day | Start Time | End Time | Affected Consumers | Reason for Reduction |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 26 December 2025 | Friday | 06:00 am | 11:59 pm | All categories | LNG terminal maintenance & cargo delays |
| 27 December 2025 | Saturday | 12:00 am | 11:59 pm | All categories | LNG terminal maintenance & cargo delays |

Titas Gas Authority urged consumers to take necessary precautions during this period, particularly industrial and commercial establishments that rely heavily on continuous gas supply. Households are advised to manage gas usage efficiently and plan cooking or heating needs in advance.
Authorities have also assured that monitoring teams are actively overseeing the supply and will make real-time adjustments to minimise the impact of low pressure wherever feasible. This proactive approach aims to ensure that essential services and daily routines experience the least possible disruption.
