A special unit of the Hatibandha Highway Police Station conducted a raid early today on the northern side of the Teesta Barrage in Hatibandha Upazila, Lalmonirhat, apprehending an alleged drug dealer found in possession of 200 bottles of phensedyl and a pickup truck.

The raid was carried out under the direct instructions of Mohammad Tariqul Islam, Superintendent of Police of the Rangpur region Highway Police. The special team, led by Sub-Inspector Farid and Sergeant Palash, intercepted and searched a pickup truck at approximately 3 am based on a tip-off.
The driver, Md Alamin Babu, was caught red-handed with the contraband phensedyl bottles and the vehicle at the scene.
