The final day of campaigning for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall Students’ Union elections is taking place today. According to the university authorities, candidates are permitted to continue their campaigning until 10:00 PM on Sunday, 7 September 2025.

Responding to candidates’ requests, the authorities have increased the number of voting booths at 8 centres. The total number of booths has been raised from 700 to 810.
The Election Commission has announced that even if a student takes 10 minutes to cast their vote, the voting process will conclude by 4:00 PM. Additionally, the administration has increased the number of buses transporting students to and from the campus to facilitate voting.
While the voting environment on campus remains orderly, most candidates have raised concerns about online misinformation campaigns. Panels supported by Chhatra Dal have warned that unless these campaigns are stopped, the voting atmosphere could be disrupted.
