Bengaluru, Karnataka – A horrifying crime has come to light in Bengaluru, where a 34-year-old software engineer was brutally killed after resisting an attempted sexual assault, police reports reveal.
The victim, identified as Sharmila D.K., was attacked in her home on the night of 3 January. Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old youth, Karnel Kurai, in connection with her murder. Investigations indicate that Kurai attempted to enter Sharmila’s residence through a window with the intent of committing sexual assault.
