A polling officer has died while carrying out his official duties during voting in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria, casting a sombre shadow over the electoral process in the area.
The deceased, Md Mujahidul Islam, was serving as a polling officer at Polling Room No. 51 of the Sirajul Islam Auditorium centre when he suddenly fell ill on Thursday morning (12 February).
