Austrian police have arrested the former boyfriend of well-known content creator and beauty influencer Stefanie Piper, 31, in connection with her murder. According to reports published in Austrian media, after killing Piper, her former partner allegedly placed her body in a suitcase and buried it in a Slovenian forest.

Information from the Styrian State Police indicates that Piper went missing on 23 November after returning home from a party that night. She had told a friend that she had reached home safely, and shortly afterwards sent another message saying that someone was hiding in the stairwell.

Local media, citing neighbours, reported that they had heard an argument on the night of the murder and believe they saw Piper’s former boyfriend in the building. The following day, when family members and colleagues were unable to contact her, a missing person report was filed.

Police stated that Piper’s former boyfriend was arrested in Slovenia. He was found near his burning car in the parking area of a casino. Investigations revealed that he had travelled to Slovenia multiple times by car.

According to a report by Austria’s Kronen Zeitung, after being brought back to Austria, the suspect confessed to the murder during questioning. He said that he had killed Piper by suffocation, placed her body in a suitcase and buried it in the forest. He later led police to the location of the body.

The Styrian State Police further reported that two male relatives of the accused were also arrested on charges of assisting in the crime.

Piper was a beauty influencer known for her content related to makeup, fashion and music.
