Authorities at Jahangirnagar University recovered the body of a student found hanging in his residential hall on Wednesday afternoon. The grim discovery was made around 2:30 pm in room 413 of the Sher-e-Bangla A. K. Fazlul Huq Hall, one of the university’s prominent residential halls.

The deceased has been identified as Arup Ratan Konisk, a student of the Department of Archaeology from the 50th batch. According to university officials, he was a resident of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and originally hailed from Narayanganj.
