Bangladeshi footballer Cuba Mitchell has officially announced his departure from Bashundhara Kings, bringing an abrupt end to a move that once generated considerable surprise and optimism within the country’s football community. “I met some incredible teammates and supporters who welcomed me warmly. They reminded me why I fell in love with this game in the first place,”
he said.

Mitchell emphasised that throughout his tenure, he maintained professionalism and treated the club’s badge with respect. He also used the moment to urge fellow footballers to stand up for one another, stressing that no player should suffer in silence due to unpaid wages or broken promises.
