Sirajganj Bus Hits and Kills Pedestrian

A pedestrian, Raju Mondol (35), was killed after being run over by a bus in Sirajganj. The accident occurred around 12:00 PM on Friday at the Bonbari area on the Sirajganj-Kadda regional road. Raju Mondol was the son of Nur Hossain Mondol, from the village of South Bamni in the Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha.

According to Sub-Inspector Sohag Hossain of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station, Raju Mondol worked at a timber mill in the Bonbari area. Around noon, while crossing the road in front of the mill, he was hit by a bus of Zenin Paribahan, which was heading from Sirajganj to Dhaka. The bus fled the scene after the accident, and Raju Mondol died on the spot.

The police have recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue. Legal action is being taken regarding the incident.
