Today’s Gold Price: 22 November 2025

Gold prices have decreased in the domestic market. On Thursday, according to a press release from the media, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) reduced the price of gold by Tk 1,353 per bhori. The revised price came into effect on Friday (21 November) and remains applicable on Saturday as well.

BAJUS stated that the price of refined (pure) gold has fallen in the local market, prompting a meeting of the association’s Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring on Thursday.

In consideration of the overall market situation, the committee unanimously decided that the new prices of gold and silver would take effect across the country starting Friday.

According to the updated price chart, from Friday, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has been set at Tk 208,167. On Thursday, it was sold at Tk 209,520 per bhori. As per the new rate, the price has decreased by Tk 1,353 per bhori.

The price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 198,696, while 18-carat gold has been set at Tk 170,317.

The price of traditional-method gold per bhori has been set at Tk 141,647. These prices will remain in effect at all jewellery shops across the country until further notice.

BAJUS further stated that a mandatory 5 percent government-imposed VAT and 6 percent BAJUS-fixed minimum making charge must be added to the selling price of gold. However, the making charge may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewellery.

Earlier, on Wednesday (19 November), BAJUS adjusted gold prices by increasing them. On that day, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was raised by Tk 2,612, fixing the new price at Tk 209,520.

Despite the reduction in gold prices, silver prices have remained unchanged in the domestic market. Currently, 22-carat silver per bhori is being sold at Tk 4,246.

Additionally, 21-carat silver per bhori is priced at Tk 4,047, 18-carat at Tk 3,476, and traditional-method silver per bhori at Tk 2,601.
