Lawyer Z I Khan Panna, a Supreme Court advocate, submitted an application on Tuesday seeking to represent former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the International Crimes Tribunal.
Tribunal’s Response to the Application
The tribunal did not accept Lawyer Z I Khan Panna’s application. The tribunal stated that at this moment, it is not possible to accept any new applications.
Furthermore, the tribunal clarified that a state lawyer has already been appointed to represent Sheikh Hasina. At this stage of the trial, there is no provision for appointing a new lawyer on behalf of the accused.
