Published: 11 Mar 2026, 07:07 am

In a strategic move to broaden the scope of corporate wellness and insurance accessibility, Zenith Islami Life Insurance PLC and Munnu Medical College Hospital have formally entered into a comprehensive healthcare service agreement. The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, 10 March, at the Director’s Office of Munnu Medical College Hospital, marking a significant milestone for both the insurance and healthcare sectors in Bangladesh.

A Synergistic Partnership

The primary objective of this memorandum of understanding (MoU) is to provide high-quality, Sharia-compliant insurance products paired with top-tier medical facilities. Under the terms of the agreement, all policyholders, as well as the executive staff and employees of Zenith Islami Life, will be entitled to specialised healthcare services at preferential, discounted rates. This initiative is designed to alleviate the financial burden of medical inflation on the insured, ensuring that health remains a priority rather than a luxury.

The agreement was signed by Abdur Rahman, Senior Executive Vice President (HR) and Company Secretary of Zenith Islami Life, and Brigadier General Dr Zulfikar Ahmed Amin (Retd), Director of Munnu Medical College Hospital. Both leaders expressed their commitment to fostering a more "customer-centric" healthcare ecosystem that prioritises efficiency and affordability.

By aligning with a reputable institution like Munnu Medical College Hospital, Zenith Islami Life is enhancing its value proposition for its "Group Insurance" clients. This agreement ensures that the journey from filing a claim to receiving treatment is seamless, reducing the bureaucratic hurdles often associated with healthcare.

This pact is expected to benefit thousands of individuals, offering them peace of mind through a robust safety net. It represents a proactive step towards achieving universal health coverage by leveraging the strengths of the private sector.
