45 Countries, 2,500 Universities Students and Parents Flock to International Education Fair at ICCB

The Bangladesh International Education Fair 2026, being held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, continued to attract an overwhelming number of students and parents on its second day. Nearly 10,000 visitors attended the fair throughout Friday (July 24), seeking information on higher education opportunities, scholarships, admission procedures, and education loans for studying abroad.

The three-day event, which began on Thursday, is being held at the Gulnaksha Hall of ICCB. According to the organizers, representatives from more than 2,500 universities across over 45 countries are participating through 35 exhibition booths.

Visitors explored higher education opportunities in countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, various European nations, and Malaysia. Students received first-hand information about admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, tuition costs, and other study-related expenses. The fair also offers guidance on language proficiency tests, visa procedures, career planning, and education financing.

This year’s edition features dedicated pavilions for European, Malaysian, and UK-based educational institutions. In addition, the event includes Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings and networking sessions for representatives of participating institutions.

Several banks are also participating in the fair, providing information on education loan facilities for students planning to study overseas. Mehedi Islam, an official from NCC Bank, said that the bank is offering information and consultation on education loans of up to BDT 2 million (20 lakh) under flexible terms for eligible students.

Mehedi Hasan, a student of Titumir College, said, “Having the opportunity to speak with representatives from so many universities under one roof is extremely valuable. It makes the decision-making process for studying abroad much easier.”

Tasnia Rahman, a student at North South University, remarked, “Receiving direct information from university representatives has given me a much clearer understanding of scholarships and admissions. It will also help me plan my future more effectively.”

Mahmud Galib, Chief Executive Officer of Fair Convener International, said, “The overwhelming participation of students demonstrates the growing interest in international higher education. We have successfully created a reliable platform where students can access authentic and trustworthy information.”

Ashikur Rahman Tanvir, Director of Events and Sales at the organization, said that the three-day fair will conclude on Saturday (July 25). Interested visitors can attend the event until 8:00 PM to gather information and receive expert guidance.
