Elections Necessary to Restore Democratic Governance in Bangladesh: Amir Khasru

Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the permanent committee of the BNP, has emphasised that elections are essential to restore democratic governance in Bangladesh.

He made the remarks on Sunday, 5 October, at the BNP office in Gulshan, Dhaka, following a meeting with UN Resident Coordinator in Bangladesh, Gwenn Lewis, and Senior Human Rights Adviser, Huma Khan.

Khasru noted that strengthening democracy also requires constructive engagement and cooperation among political parties.
