Singer Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have officially confirmed their relationship after weeks of speculation about their rumored romance. As Katy celebrated her 41st birthday, the pair made their first public appearance together in Paris.
According to TMZ, Katy and Justin attended a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris. The two were seen leaving the venue hand in hand, smiling at the paparazzi waiting outside. A fan wished Katy a happy birthday and presented her with a rose. Justin was seen escorting Katy to their car before following her inside. For the evening, Katy wore a red dress, while Justin opted for a black suit.
Recently, photos surfaced online showing Katy and Justin sharing intimate moments aboard her yacht off the California coast of Santa Barbara. Days later, during her London concert, a fan proposed to Katy on stage. She replied, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago,” referencing her time spent with Justin on the yacht just two days before.
During the same concert, she also remarked, “London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school? No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time… but not anymore.”
Katy previously dated actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares daughter Daisy Dove. The couple, who began dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2019, confirmed their separation in July this year.
Their representatives said in a joint statement to Page Six, “Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting.”
The statement further added, “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
