Dhaka residents often face various disruptions while traveling due to numerous events and gatherings. Roads frequently become congested, causing delays. To avoid hassles, it’s useful to know today’s major programs and their locations before heading out.
On Thursday (November 6), several key events are scheduled to take place in the capital.
At 10:30 a.m., BNP will hold a discussion and unveiling ceremony of the book “Tarique Rahman: Politics and Policy” at Hotel Sheraton in Banani. The event will feature BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain as the chief guest and Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury as the discussant.
At 3:00 p.m., a BNP rally in support of Dhaka-16 candidate Aminul Haque will begin from the BRTC bus depot (Abesh Hotel) at Pallabi 12 and proceed through Popular Diagnostic Center (10 No.), 6 No. Bazar, Challantika Mor, Arambagh, Residential Mor, and end at Gharoya Mor via Rupnagar Tin-shed.
At 4:00 p.m., lawyers will distribute leaflets and campaign in Dhaka-10 to encourage voters to support the BNP’s Sheaf of Paddy symbol. The campaign will start from Bata Signal on Elephant Road and end near City College, led by BNP International Affairs Secretary Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim.
At 6:00 p.m., ABR will hold a discussion meeting at the Seminar Hall of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), with BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi as the chief guest.
At 11:00 a.m., the Eight-Party Alliance will submit a memorandum to the Chief Adviser as part of their ongoing movement demanding legal recognition of the July Charter, preservation of the amended RPO, and implementation of proportional representation in national elections. A gathering will take place at Paltan Mor before the submission.
The Dhaka University Dawah Circle will organize the Winter Book Fair 2025 at the TSC Pigeon Square from November 6 to 9. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmad Khan will inaugurate the fair at 10:30 a.m.
At 3:00 p.m., Spark Event Management will hold a press conference at Hotel Sheraton to address public curiosity surrounding Dr. Zakir Naik’s possible visit to Bangladesh.
At 10:00 a.m., the Socialist Students’ Front (Jagannath University Unit) will hold a press briefing regarding the Election Commission’s recent announcement of the JnUSU election schedule.
At 5:00 p.m., the NCP’s Central Election Steering Committee will hold a press conference at its temporary office in Banglamotor to discuss preparations, candidate selection, coordination, legal and administrative affairs, campaign strategy, and monitoring plans. NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary and Election Steering Head Dr. Tasnim Zara will be present.
