Gold prices have once again increased in the country’s market. This time, the price has risen by 1,680 taka per bhori. With the new rate, 22-carat gold is now selling at 201,776 taka per bhori.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced this information in a notice issued on Saturday (November 1).
The new prices came into effect on Sunday (November 2) and remain the same today, Friday (November 7).
According to the notice, the adjustment was made due to an increase in the price of pure gold (Tezabi gold) in the local market.
Today’s Gold Prices
22-carat: 201,776 taka per bhori
21-carat: 192,596 taka per bhori

The notice also stated that 5% government-fixed VAT and a 6% minimum labor charge set by BAJUS must be added to the selling price of gold.
However, the labor cost may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewelry.
