Clinton Family Allegedly Supported Uprising in Dhaka

Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, a close associate of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has claimed that an American charitable organization and the Clinton family supported the 2024 uprising in Bangladesh. In that uprising, Sheikh Hasina was ousted from power.

According to Mahibul, since 2018, several American charitable organizations such as USAID and the International Republican Institute had been active against them. He stated that the unrest was orchestrated through careful planning. He also claimed that the Clinton family and the current interim government chief Muhammad Yunus and his associates have maintained long-standing close ties.

Yunus said, “Due to the relationship between the Clinton family and the interim government, various charitable organizations have been secretly funded for a long time. They actively worked to change the government in Bangladesh.”

Mahibul questioned where the billions of dollars received through USAID disappeared. He claimed that the money was used to influence government change in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina had also accused Yunus of selling out the country to the United States. The US has dismissed these claims as “ridiculous.” This news was reported by a news agency through Kolkata’s Anandabazar newspaper.
