Two School Students Electrocuted While Returning Home After Private Tutoring

In Bhola, two school students died after being electrocuted while returning home from private tutoring. The incident occurred on Monday (November 10) afternoon in front of Tayeb Master’s house in Mukharbanda area of Omarpur Union, Char Fasson Upazila, Bhola.

The deceased are Md. Zihad (15), son of Md. Farid Uddin from Ward 1 of Omarpur Union, Char Fasson, and Md. Zubayed (15), son of Md. Riaz Hossain from Aligaon village of Ward 3 of the same union. Both were ninth-grade students of Char Fasson TB School.

Locals said Jahangir Alam had set up an electric trap in his paddy field a few days ago to catch rats. In the afternoon, Zihad and Zubayed were returning home after completing their private tutoring when they came into contact with the wires connected to the electric trap in the field and were electrocuted. They were rescued by locals and taken to Char Fasson Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared them dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Char Fasson Police Station, Md. Mizanur Rahman Hawladar, confirmed the incident. He added that no written complaint has yet been received from the families of the deceased.
