Fire on a cargo truck and attack on police vehicles in Madaripur

In Shibchar, Madaripur, miscreants set fire to a sugar-loaded truck. At the same time, the attackers also damaged a police vehicle.

The incident occurred on Thursday (13 November) around 8:30 am in the Simana area of Shibchar Upazila.

Highway police stated that during an attempt to block the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway in the morning, miscreants placed tree branches on the road to stop traffic and set fire to the truck. Upon receiving the news, the highway police quickly reached the scene and brought the situation under control.

Shibchar Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Zahurul Islam said the situation is under control and police patrols continue.

Madaripur Police Superintendent Md. Naeemul Hasan said traffic on the highway is normal and suspects are being searched.
