Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has signed an agreement with Spectrum Software and Consulting (Pvt.) Ltd. (SSCL) to implement OptiFin, a leading Supply Chain Finance solution developed by SSCL.
The agreement was formalised on 23 November at EBL’s head office in Dhaka, with Riad Mahmud Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Corporate Banking at EBL, and Mushfiqur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of SSCL, signing the deal.
Riad Mahmud Chowdhury highlighted the transformative potential of the collaboration, noting that SSCL’s advanced technology will significantly enhance EBL’s Supply Chain Finance capabilities, offering greater efficiency and flexibility to their corporate clients.
Mushfiqur Rahman expressed his gratitude for EBL’s confidence in locally developed FinTech solutions, including Trade Finance Automation, Unified Data Center Monitoring (NMS), and AI-powered Central Bank Reporting tools. He emphasised the global competitiveness of these innovations, all of which have been designed and developed by Bangladeshi talent.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations, including Mohammad Mainul Hasan Faisal, Zaed Bin Hassan, and Sanjit Dutta from EBL, and Dr. Faizul Bari, Farhanur Rahman, Md. Rokonuzzaman, and Monjur Ahamed from SSCL.
This partnership aims to strengthen the supply chain finance ecosystem in Bangladesh, providing businesses with cutting-edge solutions to manage their financial operations more effectively.
