Pubail OC Sets Example by Carrying Sacks through Fire

In a severe fire incident in Pubail, Kudab West Para of Gazipur City, Pubail Police Station OC Molla Md. Khalid Hossain demonstrated exemplary bravery by jumping into the blaze and immediately starting rescue operations with sacks of cotton on his head.

On Sunday (23 November) afternoon, after fire broke out in a cotton warehouse owned by Abdur Rahman in Kudab, dense smoke and panic surrounded the scene, but he jumped in without hesitation. A video of him carrying a sack on his head instantly created a stir among locals.

Locals said that no one dared to enter the warehouse due to the intensity of the fire. At that moment, OC Khalid disregarded his own safety, entered the warehouse, and began carrying sacks out on his head. His actions inspired nearby people to join the rescue efforts. About 10 lakh taka worth of goods were successfully removed safely.

Upon receiving news, three units of Tongi Fire Service quickly reached the scene and brought the fire under control. Fire service officials stated that the OC was already actively involved at the site before their arrival.

SI Najmul Haque of Pubail Police Station said that as the OC personally started removing goods, ordinary people gained courage. He took this risk to encourage people to participate in the rescue.
