These areas to face 9-hour power outage over two days

Several areas of Kaliganj upazila in Gazipur will experience a power outage on Thursday due to maintenance work on the national grid line.

The information was confirmed by Md Akhtar Hossain, Deputy General Manager of the Kaliganj Zonal Office under Gazipur Palli Bidyut Samity-1.

He stated that maintenance work will be carried out from 8am to 5pm on Thursday (27 November) and Saturday (29 November). During this period, power supply will remain suspended in Kaliganj, Seven Rings and Jangalia areas.

However, considering the convenience of consumers, Kaliganj upazila, Kaliganj police station area and the proper feeder will be kept operational alternately, according to the Palli Bidyut authorities. They expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience, noting that the work is essential to complete maintenance smoothly and ensure uninterrupted service in the future.

Gazipur PBS-1’s Kaliganj Zonal Office has sought everyone’s cooperation on the scheduled two days.
