Guard tied as tea office robbed

A robbery took place at the Ispahani Tea office in Shah Makhdum Thana, Rajshahi early Sunday at around 4:30 am. The robbers first tied up the security guard on duty, then broke into the first floor main office and stole 177,000 taka, and also took 38,500 taka from the sales centre on the ground floor.

The total amount stolen was 215,500 taka. Officer-in-Charge Mashuma Mustari stated that police inspected the scene, collected CCTV footage and other evidence. Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the robbers, and legal proceedings have begun.
