Ahead of the upcoming edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Rangpur Riders have once again placed their trust in Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed. The one-time champions have recruited him for the new season.
During the previous season, the 35-year-old Iftikhar, who represented Rangpur, delivered outstanding performances with the bat. He scored 305 runs, the second-highest for the team. Saif Hassan was the top scorer with 306 runs. In addition to his batting, he also took 5 wickets with his off-spin across 12 matches.
Confirming the news on social media, Rangpur Riders stated, ‘All-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed will once again entertain the crowd in Rangpur colours. This Pakistani powerhouse will represent Rangpur this season as well.’
Joining Iftikhar in the team’s overseas quota are three other Pakistanis—Khawaja Nafay, Faheem Ashraf, and Sufiyan Muqeem.
